New Chapter...

Well, Steps and I are no longer courting. I want to first start off saying that I harbor no ill feelings towards him, or anyone in his family. I love them all with the love of Christ. They are my brothers and sisters in the Lord and I will always treat them as such! Steps and I had some different views on certain topics, and you know what, that is O.K.! Of course it hurts. How can it not when you've been so involved in another's life for such a long period of time? However, over this course of time I feel that I've grown as a person. I've come to a better understanding of myself and most importantly, where I stand in my relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

As hard as it is to say, because it does still hurt, Steps and I were not meant to be. At least not right now. I don't know what God has planned for either of our futures. All I know is that right now, I need to keep my focus on Jesus (as it always should be), my family and friends, church, and school. For me, the relationships I have with Jesus, my parents, siblings, and friends deserve my utmost attention. When God is ready to send me "Mr. Right," He will! I don't have to worry about it, He's already got me covered. Until the time He has appointed arrives, I will be keeping my focus on what He has me doing here and now.

So, here's the thing, What's done is done. I'm going to remember all the good times, and learn from the bad. I'm not going to look back because it's impossible for me to move forward when I do! I'm going to trust fully in the grace, mercy, kindness, love, and peace that only my Heavenly Father can provide. He is forever faithful and to Him will I cling...

Until next time,

Already??

Wow, it's hard to believe my break is almost over! I could have sworn that it just began.... Oh well. I'll get back to that in a minute, first I need to catch you up on what I've done over my precious 3 and a 1/2 weeks of break.........

Well, I haven't really been up to very much! I went to "the Happy Place" with my family, my sweet-heart (a.k.a Steps!), and another family. We were outside all day and it was FREEZING!!! However it's safe to say we all had a lot of fun! You can read more about our day and see pictures from my mom's blog.....

Moving along.....

We had an absolutely great Christmas! We ate our traditional Cuban dinner of Pork, rice, black beans, yucca, and Cuban bread, on Christmas Eve (like we always do). Steps came over as well as JC and his family. (JC is Soaring Amongst the Clouds' friend) After dinner Steps and I went to our church for the Christmas Eve Candle Light service. It really was absolutely beautiful! After the service I went with Steps and his family to look at Christmas lights. Everyone had a great time!

Christmas morning arrived and we got dressed, started breakfast (most of it had to bake in the oven for a while), while breakfast was in the oven, we opened our Christmas presents. JC also came over and he and Soaring Amongst the Clouds exchanged gifts. Once we were all done we went back to work in the kitchen preparing our breakfast. We had Monkey Bread, and Eggs Fantastic.....yum!!!

Fast-forwarding a bit.....

Christmas afternoon I went with Steps and his family to see Bedtime Stories. (It's a yearly tradition in their family to go see a movie in theaters on Christmas!) It was a very funny movie!! Christmas was a bit different this year, but I think everyone adjusted o.k. :o)

Since then we've been keeping busy with little projects around the house, playing tennis, going to Zumba, other activities, and of course...... New Years!

New Years Eve we went to Steps' house from 6 until 9:30 p.m. then we came home, ate brownies, watched a movie then t.v. and waited to see the Ball drop. We all were able to stay up! :o)

Well, I've caught ya up! I'll save my school news for another entry.

Until next time,
